Suppose President Trump succeeds in reversing the results — imagine the rioting and looting that will ensue. The relative quiet is the only good to have come from the election. That will be threatened if things don’t move fast enough to appease leftists. Unfortunately, blacks continue to kill each other at a dizzying rate.

Here’s an amusing headline from nypost.com: “Oregon strippers of color eligible for federal COVID-19 relief funds.” Only those of color? Isn’t that racism of a sort?

An article at NYP reports that a Mexican journalist was shot to death as he was about to do a live broadcast at a murder scene. It was the second murder of a reporter in less than a month.

Headline from foxnews.com: “City official who wants to defund police calls 911 on Lyft driver after he cancels her ride.” It happened in Portland, Oregon, where the sense of entitlement is as acute as it gets. She wanted him to close the windows, which drivers are advised to leave open to mitigate the spread of Corona.

RIP Celtics legend Tom Heinsohn, 86. He was drafted out of Boston College in 1956 and spent the next 64 years with the organization as player, coach and media commentator. He was NBA Rookie of the Year. He won eight league titles in nine years, including seven in a row between ’59 and ’65. He was an All-Star six times. In ten seasons he averaged more than 18 points and eight rebounds per game. He won two championships as head coach and had a record of 427–263. He was named Coach of the Year in ’73. His #24 was retired by his alma mater and #15 by the Green. He served as both play-by-play man and analyst during radio and TV broadcasts. Awesome, sir.

The run of gorgeous weather came to an end but the floating book shop enjoyed some sales before rain came. My thanks to the woman who bought Pandora by Ann Rice and, for her 14-year old son, Rhapsody and Prophecy, fantasy novels by Elizabeth Haydon; and to the gentleman who selected a hardcover in Russian; and to Wolf, who purchased an Erich Segal translation in Russian, Absolute Rage by Robert K. Tennenbaum, and two books on checkers strategy for his grandson.
