Some elephants have all the luck:

I’ve admired the work ethic of Asian immigrants ever since I began to take notice of such things. Now they are stepping up and leading the fight against an insidious menace that threatens America. Here are excerpts from an article at foxnews.com, edited by yours truly: “A Chinese American group has issued a public letter forcefully denouncing critical race theory (CRT) as a “hateful, divisive” and “manipulative fraud” that has infected nearly every facet of society and must be stopped. The New York-based group says CRT has entered workplaces and educational institutions under the guise of anti-racism and diversity, equity and inclusion when it is in fact racist, repressive, discriminatory and divisive… The doctrine teaches that people are inextricably linked to their race, that Blacks are oppressed, all Whites are oppressors, and any unequal outcome is not only unjust but also racist… Chinese Americans’ ability to achieve upward mobility has made them ‘White by adjacency’ and put them in CRT’s crosshairs… The group calls upon parents to recognize CRT for what it is, organize against it, and ‘un-doctrinate’ their kids… It needs to start early, because CRT indoctrination also starts early — third grade in North Carolina. Don’t trust schools and teachers blindly.” Kudos.

Gee, what a surprise — liberals believe Cuomo rather than the woman accusing him of sexual harassment.

Another gorgeous day. Still unable to secure parking at my usual book nook, I set up shop at my alternate site on Bay Parkway. My thanks to the gentleman who bought two books in Russian, and to Mr. Conspiracy, aka Steve, who purchased a book on appetizers and another on neurology; and to the woman who donated what seems to be a short story collection in Polish.
