7 Continents Celebration
Love by the seven continents. Europe: even war cannot stop Valentine’s Day celebrations. Kyiv, Ukraine, Reuters photo by Thomas Peter TPX:
Sozzeach his own, as Italian Americans say. Headline from nypost.com: “NY woman spends 104th birthday in jail as part of special bucket-list wish.”
Cupid in Asia, Bangkok:
Gee, what a surprise! Headline from newsmax.com: “Islamic Motive Cited in Munich Car Attack.”
Cupid down under, Australia:
Here are some jokes:
From punsify.com:
If love is blind, why is lingerie so popular?
Why did the couple go to therapy after Valentine’s Day? They couldn’t agree on who got the last piece of chocolate!
And from romper.com:
I love you to the bedroom and back.
Is that Cupid’s arrow in your pants, or are you just happy to see me?
I’m no Fred Flintstone, but I can make your bed rock.
Cupid way down under, Antarctica:
It must be age. There was a time when I was able to sell curbside at 20 degrees, as long as there was sunshine and little wind. It was sunny and above freezing today and I was cold from the get-go. Fortunately, my all-time best customer, the Latino restaurant worker, showed and bought a bunch of DVDs and CDs, so I was able to bail a half-hour early. Muchisimas gracias, Senor. My thanks also to the woman who purchased A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini, and to the gentleman who donated three romance novels in Russian on behalf of his wife; and to Boris, who delivered a work of non-fiction.
