From an article at foxnews.com: leftwing actor John Cusack called for his fans to boycott MSNBC over the liberal network’s dismissive attitude toward Bernie Sanders, whom he compares to FDR. Maybe he should start his own network. Imagine the ratings!
Former SNL cast member Rob Schneider posted this on Twitter during the weekend: “Sorry to have to repeat this again: Free Speech is ALL speech. Even the speech that you find repugnant.” Kudos, sir. Here’s Schneider as the Richmeister, having silly fun annoying colleagues using the copier:

Here’s an acronym I’ve just come across: MGTOW, short for Men Going Their Own Way, an anti-feminist, mostly online community advocating for separation from a society which they see as harmful to men, and urging their brethren to eschew marriage and cohabitation. Sounds like they’ve surrendered to those they’re supposedly combating.

Here’s a couple of headlines from Yahoo Sports: “Fox sells out of $5.6M Super Bowl LIV commercial spots.” And “New Los Angeles NFL stadium will cost as much as Cowboys-Colts-Eagles venues combined.” Both the Rams and Chargers will use it. Hey, it’s only money.
I’ve frequently commented on how different hockey is from other pro sports. Here’s another example in a headline from Yahoo Sports: “Panthers’ Keith Yandle loses nine teeth, returns a period later.”
It was a glorious day to sell books on the sidewalk, especially since I scored the prime parking spot during my morning walk, minimizing the toil. My thanks to the young woman who bought romances by Lisa Kleypas and Jane Feather; and to the sweet elderly woman who is worried about having an upcoming stent procedure, who purchased humor in Russian; and to the Vietnam vet who found seven works of non-fiction to his liking, the most interesting being Shalom Argentina: Huellas de la Colonizacion Judia (Tracing Jewish Settlement) by Elio Kapszuk. A Trump supporter despite his personal dislike of the president, he had a lot of nasty stuff to say about Red Billy de Blasio and liberals in general, who he believes are ruining the country. Oddly, Jeff, aka Political Man, passed without vile commentary, conveying only Thanksgiving wishes. My thanks also to Alan, who donated a large paperback thriller.
