Headline from nypost.com that may leave the rest of the planet envious: “50,000 fans attend massive rock concert in COVID-free New Zealand.” The band is Six60.

I doubt there will be a more amusing headline today than this one from NYP: “French mayor convicted of rape still running town from his jail cell.” Bend over, citizens.

Snippet from an NYP article by Dean Balsimini, edited by yours truly: “More than 5300 NYPD uniformed officers retired or put in their papers to leave in 2020 — a 75% spike from 2019.” Who can blame them?

From an article at NYP by Lisa Fickenscher, edited by yt: “Mattel’s sales surged 47% in the first quarter of the year, fueled by the 62-year-old Barbie, whose sales were 87% higher than the previous first quarter.” The old broad’s still got it.

Snippet on the madness of political correctness from NYP sports media critic Phil Mushnick’s column: “… the sign in left field that tracks the number of strikeouts by Reds pitchers with a string of K’s does not include the third strikeout after it occurs, thus avoiding the appearance of KKK.” Are they afraid folks will think Marge Schott still owns the team?

This may be the only time I agree with Quid Pro Joe. He recognized the Turks 1915-’25 massacre of Armenians by Turks as genocide.

Don’t break the law in the Sooner state, as this foxnews.com headline attests: “Texas woman faced felony embezzlement charge for 2 decades over VHS rental from closed Oklahoma video store.” She found out when she was prevented from changing the name on her driver’s license after she wed. Now she knows why she was rejected five times for jobs. She has to sue the state to have the charge expunged. Leave it to government.

By the time I was done doing some clearing out work in the basement, packing the laundry and picking up a couple of hot dog buns at the Chinese bakery, it looked as if the rain had moved out. I set up shop about an hour-and-a-half late and stayed only that same span. My thanks to the woman who bought a paperback in Russian. A meager return, but the toil proved to have been worth it when I got home and found one of the two prime parking spots for the book shop available. Timing is everything. Since Orthodox Easter is this coming weekend, there will be no alternate side regulation. I am locked in through Friday. Yay team!
