Undeclared war. Headline from nypost.com: “Nearly 162K counterfeit US ‘forever’ stamps from China seized in Chicago.”

Solved again. From NYP: “Jack the Ripper’s identity revealed after DNA breakthrough, historian says.” According to the article by Chris Harris, edited by yours truly: “DNA found on a shawl recovered from the scene of one of the killer’s vicious slayings was tested, revealing the butcher who terrorized Victorian London’s East End in the late 1800s was 23-year-old Polish immigrant Aaron Kosminski, who died in a mental institution in 1919.” This sounds more feasible than other suppositions but expect other guesses down the line.

This shouldn’t surprise anyone who pays attention. Headline from newsmax.com: “Trump Embraces Near Daily Oval Office Press Conferences.”

From NM: “North Carolina Amazon Workers Reject Union.” Yay!

Headline from foxnews.com: “National security advisor says Putin, Zelenskyy agree ‘only President Trump could get them to the table’.” Good luck, Sir.

RIP actor/photographer Kevyn Major Howard, 69, cause of death unknown at present. Born in Montreal, his screen career spanned 1980-’99. There are 31 credits under his name at IMDb. His most notable role was in Stanley Kubrick’s Full Metal Jacket (1987) as the photographer. He appeared in Death Wish II (1982), Scarface (1983), Sudden Impact (1983), Alien Nation (1988), War Party (1988), and a host of TV shows. He left acting to concentrate on photography. His nonprofit foundation, Fueled By The Fallen, is dedicated to supporting veterans, first responders and their families. According to the foundation’s website, its motto is “Teach A Child To Thank A Hero Today,” and it strives to remember those who have passed in the line of duty. Kudos, Sir. Thank you. RIP American actor Biff Wiff. There is little info on his personal life. His career spanned 1986 to the present, one work to be released posthumously. There are 64 titles under his name at IMDb, largely in small roles in TV. He received a Bafta as part of the ensemble of Everything Everywhere All at Once (2022), which received eleven Oscar nominations, winning seven including Best Picture. Well done, Sir. Photo from GI:

The Anti-inflation Book Shop was rained out, but something good happened. I used a $4 CVS coupon to buy a large bottle of Dr. Pepper that lists for $4.17. Remember when those were on sale regularly for a buck. In this regard, that was the good old day. I also got halfway through the annual drudgery of filing a tax return. HSBC has yet to send its forms. And I received an invitation from porn star Sarah Jay to join a group dubbed The Illuminati (not The DaVinci Code society), promising to make me a mega-millionaire. Apparently, she notices the amusing comments I make to the naughty pictures she posts. I passed. I’m satisfied with what I’ve accumulated. My focus is almost completely on promoting and selling my books.
