The forecast was erroneous — no rain. Yay! It was a great day for doing business curbside. My thanks to the lovely elderly lady library volunteers, who donated two YA paperbacks, and to The Quiet Man, who selected an oldies CD; and to the woman who chose The Good Housekeeping Cook Book; and to Kinesha’s husband, who dialed her up on his iphone so she could pick out six kids books, Cry the Beloved Country by Alan Paton, The World According to Garp by John Irving, The Partner by John Grisham and Curious Sicilian by your truly; and to the gentleman who bought two hardcovers in Russian; and to the woman who took home one; and to Wolf, who purchased a book on chess in Russian and this gem:
