My thanks to Lou and The Quiet Man, who bought nine DVDs between them, and to Wolf, who purchased a Donna Summer concert DVD and The Murder Room: The Heirs of Sherlock Holmes Gather to Solve the World’s Most Perplexing Cold Cases by Michael Capuzzo, Lethal Agent by Vince Flynn and Kyle Mills, Blindside by James Patterson and James O. Born, Still Foolin’ ’Em: Where I’ve Been, Where I’m Going, and Where the Hell Are My Keys? by Billy Crystal; and to the gentleman who selected four books on art in Russian, taking a lot of weight off my hands; and to the Frenchman, who selected Maigret Has Scruples by his fellow countryman Georges Simenon — in English; and to the woman who donated about 15 works of non-fiction, almost all true crime; and to my constant benefactress, who delivered three books on the Kennedys.
