Prince Andrew seems determined to maintain silence on Jeffrey Epstein and friends. The arrest of Ghislaine Maxwell lends new hope to those curious about who was involved. I hope she is offered immunity in exchange for info. The trick will be to keep her alive so she can spill the beans.

As usual, President Trump was out in front. Researchers at the Henry Ford Health System have found that early administration of hydroxychloroquine makes hospitalized patients substantially less likely to die. The study, published in the International Journal of Infectious Diseases, determined that hydroxychloroquine provided a “66% hazard ratio reduction,” and hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin a 71% reduction.

Yesterday I neglected to mention interesting commentary on the cancel culture. Talk radio host Joe Concha was substituting for Mark Simone. He cited that NY is named after the Duke of York, who became King James II, who was a slave trader. Rename New York! Rename The New York Times!

A great opportunity may be coming for clothing and memorabilia entrepreneurs if busybodies succeed in getting the Washington Redskins to change the team’s name. Heck, even Native Americans may want to look into it. I’ll be surprised if management doesn’t cave to the enormous pressure…

And here’s more pandering manifested in a headline from Yahoo Sports: “NFL to play Black national anthem before The Star-Spangled Banner at Week 1 games.” Will anyone be bold enough to take a knee to protest the staggering rate of black on black murder?

I don’t care if MLB has a season or not, but an article at Yahoo Sports points out an interesting development. During the lockdown a group of more than 30 players congregated at Palm Beach Gardens High School to hold an impromptu training camp.

Assuming the alternate side of the street regulation was in effect, I hamstrung the book shop, waiting more than an hour for a parking space to open up. I ended up right behind the one I’d given up yesterday, so I had to lug the wares a bit further. Fortunately, things worked out nicely. As so often happens, the woman who promised a cache of kids’ books didn’t show, but two gentlemen came out of nowhere with valuable titles. My thanks to the guy who donated about 15 books in Russian, most in pristine condition, and to the other who left the same amount in English, fiction and non; and to the woman who bought Breathe by Kristen Ashley; and to the one who overcompensated me for a book on Zen; and to the burly guy who selected a Madonna bio; and to Ira, who settled his tab and raved about the clothing ads in the Playboy magazines he recently purchased, something a retired tailor appreciates.
