I’d never heard of this before. Headline from nypost.com: “Unlikely landing: Couple and 2-year-old daughter survive small plane crash after deploying parachute to ease aircraft’s fall.” Photo from Google Images:

From NYP: “Funny papers: An unofficial subway magazine is baffling the MTA — and delighting commuters.” According to the article by Hannah Frishberg, “Public Transport Magazine is a free publication featuring stories and cartoons from such notable names as The Simpsons writer Steve Young and New Yorker cartoonist Edward Steed, and randomly distributed within the subway system by creator Al Mullen.” Photo from NYP:

I don’t use TikTok, but I have an opinion on the controversy. It should not be sold to Zuckerberg, who would likely suppress viewpoints that are currently free to express, as his minions do on Facebook.

Who’s the artist? Answer below.

George W. Bush.

All the action came late at the Anti-Inflation Book Shop on this gorgeous day that was more like mid May. My thanks to the woman who bought Baking with Splenda by JoAnna M. Lund and Barbara Alpert, and to young Gareth, who purchased A Treasury of Jewish Humor by Nathan Ausubel and Guide to Money & Investing by Virginia B. Morris; and to Robert, who donated two large paperbacks on NYC.
