Dizzy & More
I have zero respect for Quid Pro Joe or any career politician, but I can’t laugh at his cognitive struggles, knowing the same fate may await me in a few years. He should be told to step down. Trouble is, even most Dems don’t want a Harris presidency.
While it’s refreshing to hear NYC Mayor Eric Adams blast BLM for not protesting black on black violence, I’d rather see him reinstitute Stop and Frisk, which saved scores of black lives.
Proof that the first move was not merely symbolic, headline from foxnews.com: “Third bus full of migrants arrives near US Capitol from Texas.” Keep ’em comin’.
RIP actress Liz “Dizzy” Sheridan, 93, who played Jerry’s mom in 21 episodes of Seinfeld. Born in Rye, NY, a go-go dancer in the ‘50’s, her career spanned 1977–2010. There are 85 titles under her name at IMDb, most of them TV work. She was also in 34 episodes of Alf. At one time she was rumored to be engaged to James Dean and eventually wrote a book about their relationship, published in 2000. She lived with Jazz trumpeter Dale Wales from 1960 until his death in 2002. They married in 1985 and have a daughter. Well done, madam. Thank you.

Another gorgeous day to do business curbside. My thanks to the woman who bought a DVD on touring Mozart locations in Salzburg, and Changing Course, Changing Careers by Mary Ann Bailey; and to the lovely young woman who purchased The Bourne Ultimatum by Robert Ludlum and Animal Farm by George Orwell; and to the middle age woman who selected Sisters and Lovers by Connie Briscoe; and to Fred, who took home the large print edition of Ransom by Danielle Steel; and to Wolf, who swapped three Russian hardcovers for two English paperbacks; and to Marty, NYPD retired, who donated two bags filled with hardcover best sellers.
