Emotional Rescue

That President Trump has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize should incite interesting commentary from the left. For once, I’m looking forward to social media political posts. Wouldn’t it be great if he refused the nomination? Unfortunately, his ego would probably never allow that. Past winners include Yasser Arafat, Al Gore and Barack Obama.

Here’s a headline that’s sure to kick up some dust, from nypost.com: “Hollywood reportedly casting light-skinned actors to appeal to China.” So Tinseltown and the NBA are both kissing totalitarian butt. How many American politicians have been bought by China? Follow the money, as usual.

Actress Kirstie Alley posted this tweet about the new guidelines for Oscar nominations: “This is a disgrace to artists everywhere. Can you imagine telling Picasso what had to be in his f — king paintings. You people have lost your minds. Control artists, control individual thought .. OSCAR ORWELL.” Naturally it attracted a severe backlash. If she doesn’t walk back the comments, kudos.

I’m not a fan of Cowboys’ owner Jerry Jones, but I admire that he has yet to kowtow to the “woke” nonsense.

Foxnews.com headline: “68 NFL players opt out of playing the 2020 season over coronavirus concerns.” The Patriots have been especially hard hit — yay! Then again, Belichick will likely adjust.

Wow — a motorcyclist was clocked at 178 mph on a Georgia highway. Cops didn’t pursue. I had no idea it was possible to go that fast on one.

My thanks to the woman who parked her fancy car at the bus stop, opened her trunk and offered me about 40 books in Russian in excellent condition, and to those who made purchases on this humid day made tolerable by cloud cover. Here’s what sold: four books in Russian, The Old Curiosity Shop by Charles Dickens, short story collection Palo Alto by actor James Franco; Scruples by Judith Krantz; three N.Y.S. Driver’s Manuals; Schism a novel by Bill Granger; Mayflower Madam by Sydney Barrows; SOS Help for Emotions: Managing Anxiety, Anger, and Depression by Lynn Clark. The latter sounds like something that may help those suffering TDS.

If that doesn’t help, they may want to try this:
