Don’t say I didn’t warn you. Headline from nypost.com: “Careful out there — Saturn retrograde in Pisces might make you want to quit your job and join a cult.”

From NYP, fodder for sci-fi writers: “Influencer’s AI clone of herself goes rogue, becomes sex-crazed maniac.”

Headline from newsmax.com: “DHS Searches for 50 Illegal Migrants in US Linked to ISIS.” Why were they let in without vetting?

Among today’s many celebrations, it’s Forgiveness Day. I forgive all but politicians.

Headline from AP: “Haitians hold their breath as newly arrived Kenyan police force prepares to face gangs.” Imagine having to recruit outside one’s own nation. Will that country ever right itself?

While it’s satisfying to see NY House Rep Jamaal “Fire Alarm” Bowman routed in a primary, will it mean anything in terms of policy? Is it the beginning of a trend regarding so-called “Squad” members? As usual, when it comes to politics, I’m not optimistic.

I just chowed down on some Broccoli Rabe with Sozzeach. I’d forgotten how bitter it is. I hope that means it’s good for you. My thanks to my niece Tanya, who couldn’t finish it last night at L&B, and to Suky, who delivered it this morning after I’d left it in her car last night. Duh!

Business continues to be disappointing at the Anti-Inflation Book Shop. My thanks to the kind folks who donated wares, and to the woman who bought a Danielle Steel translation in Russian, and to the gentleman who purchased John Eagle Expeditor #7: The Ice Goddess by Paul Edwards.
