Feels Like Saturday
Half Moon Bay, California. REUTERS photo by Nathan Frandino:
It feels like Saturday. Curious if there is a word that describes such a feeling, a Google search came up empty. Let’s make one up. How ‘bout “Dayphoria”?
Any excuse to cash in. Headline from nypost.com: “Female LAPD officer sues city for sexual harassment after husband shares her nudes with other cops: ‘Preyed on me’.”
Does this newsmax.com headline mean anything? “US Beer Sales on Track to Hit 24-Year Low.” I wonder if the Bud Lite controversy has anything to do with it.
A tip for airline travelers, headline from foxnews.com: “Florida family uses Apple AirTag to locate stolen luggage from a North Carolina airport to suspect’s home.” According to the article by Stepheny Price: “…the suspect was arrested and charged with multiple theft crimes, including a drug charge, and is being held on a $10,000 bond.” The perp also stole someone else’s bag. Unfortunately, the contents were not recovered.
Is this what elites want? From FN: “DC business owner warns of ‘out of control’ prices and crime after 52 restaurants shut down.” WTF?
From FN, good news: “How tiny corkscrew robots could save lives by breaking up blood clots.” And sci-fi writers have fodder for stories.
As one ages certain foods become no-nos for nuts like me who wish to avoid cholesterol meds. Early in the week I caved and had shrimp fried rice. I hadn’t had any Chinese food in decades. Man, it was good. Today I had a BLT, which I hadn’t had for at least ten years. It was only okay.
It was an awesome day to do business curbside. My thanks to the kind folks who donated and bought. Here’s what sold: five books and three DVDs in Russian, The King of Torts by John Grisham, Maui Kosher: Quick and Easy Recipes by Danit Schusterman, a DVD on Pilates.
