Artist uses AI to show what dead stars would look like today, Tech News, Metro News:

Top L-R: Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson, John Lennon, Tupac. Bottom L-R: Jimi Hendrix, Princess Diana, Kurt Cobain and Janis Joplin (Picture: Alper Yesiltas).

My guess is Dems will throw Quid Pro Joe under the bus, blame the individual and not the party’s policies for the state of the union, and hope enough people will buy it. I would be surprised if he went quietly. The most surprising aspect of the debate was that CNN played it straight, even fact-checking Biden’s lies. I squelch sympathy for him by reminding myself he’s been feeding at the public trough his entire adult life and lying at a phenomenal rate, plagiarizing and peddling influence. Who will be the standard bearer? They need someone who can be portrayed as a moderate by the compliant mainstream media. Will independent voters penalize Dems for the fraud they tried to perpetrate?

Headline from foxnews.com out of Massachusetts: “Dem-run state says it’s full — and migrants will soon be banned from airport.”

RIP singer/writer Kinky Friedman, 79. Born in Chicago, the son of Russian Jewish immigrants, he earned a Bachelor’s at the University of Texas at Austin, majoring in Psychology. His career was marked by controversy, as his satire was deemed offensive by many. He lampooned feminists, Indians, racists and even his brethren. A 1975 set he did for Austin City Limits was never aired, the only time that happened in the history of the show. Friedman appeared on SNL in ’76. Here are the titles of some of his songs: We Reserve the Right to Refuse Service to You, Ride ’Em Jewboy, They Ain’t Makin’ Jews Like Jesus Anymore. He had the honor of playing the Grand Ole Opry. When his music career stalled in the ’80s, he shifted his focus to writing detective novels set in NYC, the main character based on himself. He also published novels outside the genre. He ran for Governor of Texas as a Republican, although he identified as a Democrat. His albums and singles did not sell well, failing to chart. He published a score of novels and non-fiction and wrote a regular column for Texas Monthly. Here’s a quote attributed to him: “You’ve got to find what you love and let it kill you.” He was an American original. Photos from Google Images:

It was back to the doldrums today at the Anti-Inflation Book Shop, despite perfect weather. My thanks to the gentleman who bought All-in on AI: How Smart Companies Win Big with Artificial Intelligence by Thomas H. Davenport and Nitin Mittal, and to Jay, who purchased an Elton John CD collection.
