Feeling dumb. I had no idea radio legend Scott Shannon does the taped intros on Sean Hannity’s show. I hear them only five days a week. The two have been friends for more than 25 years.

Here’s an amusing headline from foxnews.com: “Liberal paper digs itself deeper hole for linking alleged BLM assassin to the GOP.” Las Vegas Sun, a spin move that would make an NBA Hall of Famer envious.

Also from FN — what’s in a name?: Kelly Clarkson has filed a petition to change her legal name to Kelly Brianne, the latter being her middle name. I wonder what her parents think about that. (Article by Melissa Roberto)

An FN article by Brandon Gillespie cites a NY Times ad that suggests “imagining Harry Potter without its creator.” J. K. Rowling has been accused of being transphobic. I guess the Times has now cornered the transgender market. Congratulations.

And in other celebrity news, this FN headline: “‘Breaking Bad’ star Bryan Cranston laments his ‘white blindness.” Awake and sing, virtuous sir.

Good news, headline from newsmax.com: “Banner 2021 for Stocks Boosts Average 401(k) Balance to $130.7k.” May it continue, although it’s looking shaky right now.

I took the floating book shop to an alternate site so that I could get a chore done. Unfortunately, the bank is closed for reorganization. HSBC is transitioning to Citizens Bank. Maybe that’s why the ATM is not recognizing my debit card pin number, and why the website’s chat feature is proving useless. Fortunately, I got lucky with book sales. My thanks to the guy who’s new to the neighborhood, who bought a short story collection: The Paris Review Book of People with Problems; and to Ann, who purchased two titles for her 92-year-old, royal family obsessed mother in law: Lady in Waiting: My Extraordinary Life in the Shadow of the Crown by Anne Glenconner and Her Little Majesty: The Life of Queen Victoria by Carolly Erickson; and to the gentleman who overcompensated me for five self help titles, among them The Power of Purpose: Find Meaning, Live Longer, Better by Richard J. Leider.
