From a nypost.com article by Frank Reneau, edited by yours truly: East Harlem native, Brooklyn College grad, wrestling fanatic Tim “Hann” Rivera, 26, has spent the last six years bringing his passion for the squared circle’s over-the-top performances to the people — in the subway! A couple of times a year, Rivera and a supporting cast of three or four characters do Subway Mania, occupying a single car, trailed by three videographers who film an episode of the underground pro wrestling homage. Here’s a link to a video seen by more than 8000: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tA8_DVYldVo Photo from Google Images:

From NYP out of the UK: “Bakery bites back after its ‘non-binary gingerbread people’ causes stir.” Accused of being woke, the owner says it was intended as a joke. Whatever the intent, I think it’s pretty funny.

From NYP: “It’s not just Democrats — Republicans are breaking the bank too.” That’s why it’s called a swamp and nothing will stop it but a complete breakdown of the financial system, and no one wants that. Well, many wanted a return to “normalcy.” Enjoy.

Granted, Trump’s latest move seemed bizarre, dumb even, until I saw this headline from newsmax.com: “Trump NFT Trading Cards Sell Out, Raise $4.45M.” Photo from GI:

NYP headline: “40,000 pounds of meatballs spill onto highway after tractor-trailers crash.” Now ground beef.

From an NYP article by Brooke Steinberg. I don’t know whether to laugh or weep. We’ve been told dark chocolate is a healthy alternative. Now comes this from Consumer Reports, edited by YT: “Researchers found that all 28 chocolate bars contained cadmium, a natural element found in soil that ends up in cocoa beans; and lead, which contaminates the beans naturally through the environment. The heavy metals have been linked to a variety of health woes such as lung issues, memory problems, cancer and even early death.” Dare I be skeptical and assume other foods must contain the same elements? And I just bought two boxes of this, photo from GI:

Sadly, this headline about the New School from foxnews.com is not surprising: “Students at expensive New York university occupy campus, demand A-grades for everyone.”

The floating book shop had only one buyer today, but she was aces, taking home Touch of Fire and MacKensie’s Mounttain, both by Linda Howard; Something Borrowed by Emily Giffin; Max by Howard Fast; and my Close to the Edge and Inside Out. My thanks, and also to Boris, who donated a mix of titles in English and Russian. I am blessed.
