Fun with Nuts

It’s National Nut Day. Which is your favorite? Here are some jokes gleaned from skiptomylou.com. Provide your own rimshots:
Who would name their daughter Macadamia? A couple of nuts.
Where can you learn more about nuts? The internut.
Have you tried almond milk? It’s unlike any udder milk.
Here’s one of the most beautiful nuts, photo from Google Images:

And by all means avoid something like this to the nuts, photo from GI:

I find the following surprising, given the distance from the USA, apparently a hellhole for many. Headline from nypost.com: “Venezuelans Largest Nationality for Illegal Border Crossings.”

The insanity continues. Headline from newsmax.com: “Record 269,735 Illegal Crossings in September.”

Excerpts from an article at foxnews.com by Kyle Morris: “…one-fifth of the rockets that have been fired by Hamas and Islamic Jihad have missed intended targets and landed inside Gaza, killing civilians… That number amounts to more than 550 rockets.”

Nice return for the floating book shop on this beautiful fall day. My thanks to the young parents who combined to buy eight kids’ books, and to Bill Brown, author of Words and Guitar: A History of Lou Reed’s Music and other fine books, who purchased The Tremendous World I Have Inside My Head: Franz Kafka: A Biographical Essay by Louis Begley; and to the gentleman who rolled up on his bike holding a beautiful acoustic guitar, who asked to buy a canvas shopping bag with long handles in which to carry the instrument.
