Inflation is bad enough. Would it be even worse had the second Quid Pro Joe BBB been passed? And it was stopped in great part by two Dem senators, Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema. Kudos.

Many are desperate for good news, including yours truly. Here’s some, headline from foxnews.com: “Russia withdrawing troops after ‘heavy losses’, proving ‘inability to capture key Ukrainian cities,’ UK says.” May it continue.

Not much action at the floating book shop on a day when the wind finally backed off. My thanks to the woman who donated a handful of sci-fi paperbacks, and to the sweet, flighty one who bought Dragons by Michael Connelly; and to Revilo/Oliver, who purchased You Can’t Be Neutral on a Moving Train: A Personal History by Howard Zinn and Keeanga-Yamahtta Taylor, and The American Jubilee, A National Nightmare Is Closer Thank You Think by Porter Stansberry; and to the woman who took home a mystery in Russian.
