Heroic Efforts
Connecticut moms took a unique approach to raising fund for breast cancer research. Kudos. Photo from Google Images:
Florida representative Corey Mills, a combat veteran, has been doing heroic work arranging passage for Americans trapped in Israel. He was there himself until recently, helping with the operation. The latest haul was 159. I believe the total number approaches 300. The Biden administration seems as indifferent as it was to getting Americans out of Afghanistan. A politician who isn’t useless — kudos, Mr. Mills. Photo from GI:

Good news on the security front, help from AI, excerpt from a foxbusiness.com article by Eric Revell: “Evolv provides screening systems that individuals walk through as they’re entering a venue that uses magnetic fields and AI to flag potentially dangerous items for security guards, who use a tablet to monitor for flagged objects. When items are flagged, the system notes the item’s location on a particular part of the person’s body to negate the need to use a handheld wand to search them.” Kudos.

Although I back the second amendment, I wouldn’t care if automatic weapons were banned, although it probably wouldn’t stop mass shootings, America’s curse. How the heck do such guns get into the hands of the mentally ill? WTF!?
If the effort to oust representative George Santos costs money, it should be stopped. His term will be over soon. If his colleagues are trying to shame him, I doubt it will work, as he seems shameless.
RIP Richard Moll, 80, who shot to fame as Bull in 193 episodes of Night Court. Before that he did guest shots on many primetime series. There are 180 titles under his name at IMDb, one to be released posthumously. Born in Pasadena, he earned a B.A. at Cal Berkeley. His screen career began in 1979. He was adept at voiceovers, doing 14 episodes of Batman: The Animated Series as Harvey Dent/Two-Face, 40 of Mighty Max, 13 of The Legend of Calamity Jane, six of Spider-Man: The Animated Series, and a slew of one-shots in the genre. He also appeared in 25 episodes of 100 Deeds for Eddie McDowd. He was a father of two. Well done, Sir. Thank you. Photo from GI:
Tough love, how refreshing. Headline from nypost.com: “‘Big babies’: Italian mom wins court battle to evict her ‘parasite’ grown sons from home.” Hai fatto bene, signora.
A new book has dropped, photo from GI:
Humble pie today at the floating book shop despite the gorgeous weather. If leaves were money, I would have taken home at least a thousand. My thanks to the sweet elderly woman who did a swap of Russian titles, as she has so often done.
