Hugs
It’s National Hug a Musician Day. Shania, Dolly, Britney, Sade, Shakira, et cetera — I’m here if you need one. Meanwhile, here’s a classic from 1963. Photo from Google Images:
Bandaloop, an Oakland-based aerial vertical performance troupe, put on a show in San Francisco today, rappelling along the Transamerica Pyramid. It was sanctioned by city leaders. Photo from FoxNews/GI:
Opening line from an op-ed piece by Miranda Devine at nypost.com: “The Justice Department has just posted a new jobs ad — it’s looking for eight new attorneys to defend the federal government in vaccine injury cases.” More than 12,000 since 2020, albeit a tiny percentage of the jabbed. I will always wonder if the nodules, two inside my lungs, two outside, were caused by the shots. Fortunately they have yet to cause a problem other than annoying monthly checkups.
WWIII? Headline from newsmax.com: “US Conducts Retaliatory Airstrikes Against Iran-Backed Groups in Syria.”
Amusing NM headline: “Sharpton Urges Biden to Stop Menthol Cigarette Ban.” Fear of black market.
Donations poured into the floating book shop on this gorgeous day. My thanks to those who gave, and to the woman who purchased Mrs. Jeffries Wins the Prize, the 34th novel in a series of 41 by Emily Brightwell, and to Romania-born artist Andu, who got the steal of the day, a vintage Superman comic. I closed a half-hour early to do laundry, leaving three bags of wares unsorted. At least I’ll have something to do tomorrow while waiting for customers.
