The following were culled from an article at the Reader’s Digest website by Marissa Laliberte & Jayna Taylor-Smith: 100 Fun and Interesting Facts About Practically Everything.
No number before 1000 contains the letter A.
Each year 250,000 deaths in the USA are caused by medical error. This makes it the third-leading cause of death in the country.
Until 1961 Irish bars closed on St. Patrick’s Day.
While attending Crozer Theological Seminary in Pennsylvania, MLK received a C in public speaking during his first and second term.

James Cameron sold the script for The Terminator for $1 and a promise that he’d be able to direct the film.

When I hear the term “Special Counsel,” I almost always smirk, as it usually arises from partisan politics, the aim to do damage, not rectify a wrong. But I hope one is named to investigate the extent of the fraud that occurred during the election, even though I doubt it would change the outcome. Why? Because most people identify as Democrats and operatives would zealously seek out those who otherwise wouldn’t bother to vote in person or are too infirm to do so. I’ve heard the estimated breakdown of mail-in voting twice from pollsters on Sean Hannity’s radio show. Each time the figure was more than 70% in Biden’s favor. One may argue about the fairness of mail-in voting, of course, but that’s a separate issue. Also, Dominion Software needs to be examined. A lot of states rejected it as unreliable. If the same methodology of voting is used in the Georgia senate races, I don’t see how either Republican can win. I don’t want the November result overturned, as I fear it would engender a chaos of unprecedented proportion, but I hope both Georgia Republicans prevail so that the left’s power will be blunted somewhat. I also hope a thorough investigation of possible fraud will de-legitimize Biden-Harris, even though leftists would simply shrug it off. They believe they are on the side of the angels, therefore the end justify the means.

Another feather in President Trump’s cap: Under his watch, Morocco has become the fourth Arab country to normalize ties with Israel.

Here’s a foxnews.com headline that reaffirms why I should no longer be trading stocks: “Airbnb soars over 100% in opening Nasdaq trade.” I didn’t even know it was going public. Not buying, against my instincts, Bitcoin when it was trading around $200 was the last straw. It’s now at $20,000 or so.

Here are a couple of interesting tidbits from an article at foxbusiness.com: “Electric vehicles are on average $442 more expensive to insure than their gas equivalents.” “When purchase price was factored into the calculation, Self Financial discovered that, on average, gas cars are $1454 cheaper per year, costing an average of $7952, compared to electric cars at $9406.” The availability of parts is a big factor. Of course, this might change if electric cars become more popular.

My thanks to the kind folks who made purchases on this beautiful late fall day. Most of the trade was in kids and Russian books. The odd sale: Dare by Philip Jose Farmer.
