Improv

I didn’t vote today. I believe the tipping point was reached in 2020. The left has won. I don’t believe the path to socialism can be reversed. It will even be difficult to minimize its damages. I hope I’m wrong. Unlike many Republicans, I am not encouraged that polls show the races in Virginia and New Jersey are close. A five-point margin is a must to offset the skills of Dems at voter fraud. Only blowout wins will engender hope within me that significant change is underway.

For the second time in a month or so, I lost internet connection. After at least five reboots, it has returned. I don’t know that I did anything differently on any of the attempts.

Because the floating book shop’s prime parking spots were unavailable, I had to do a bit of improv today. I couldn’t use the sidewalk there, as it would have hampered passersby. Here’s a pic:

As for business, it was surprisingly good given that I had room only for less than half the inventory. My thanks to the woman who alerted me to an awesome cache of books, fiction and non, someone had put curbside in clear garbage bags. I kept about 75%, more than 50 titles. My thanks also to the woman who donated four books in Russia. Here’s what sold: The Infinite Plan by Isabel Allende, Dark Assassin by Anne Perry, The Kill Artist by Daniel Silva, Sheila Levine Is Dead and Living in New York by Gail Parent, Acts of Love by Judith Michael, Injustices: The Supreme Court’s History of Comforting the Comfortable and Afflicting the Afflicted by Ian Millhiser, Conversations with the Other Side by Sylvia Browne, The Script-Selling Game: A Hollywood Insider’s Look at Getting Your Script Sold and Produced by Kathie Fong Yoneda and Pamela Wallace, Portrait of a Killer: Jack the Ripper — Case Closed, non-fiction by Patricia Cornwell, who boasts of having solved case. Although I’m skeptical, I don’t doubt her sincerity. Given the popularity of her Kay Scarpetta series, she certainly doesn’t need the moolah.
