America ceded energy independence by closing down the Keystone Pipeline and curtailing natural gas production. We’ve gone from a net exporter of oil to an importer, half of it from Canada. According to an article at en.as.com, edited by yours truly: In November 2021, which is the last data set available, the US imported 254,162,000 barrels of oil, 17,855,000 from Russia. Someone please explain how this is sound policy economically or environmentally.

For the second straight session of the floating book shop I sold only one item. This time it was one of my novels. My thanks to Joseph, a former employee of Morgan Stanley, who bought Vito’s Day, and to Mr. Conspiracy, aka Steve, who donated two books.
