This may be the most amusing headline of the day, from nypost.com: “Disney’s New York HQ infested, appropriately enough, with mice.” Mickey & Minnie have been busy.

This doesn’t sound good, headline from newsmax.com: “Air Force General Warns China Recruiting US Vets.” According to the article by Fran Beyer, the big red machine is seeking military knowledge. I bet it’s offering big bucks. I hope this isn’t as dangerous as it sounds.

Unless there’s something I don’t understand, the evidence against Quid Pro Joe seems overwhelming, but I believe impeachment — if it gets that far — will be an exercise in futility. The votes will not be there. And those members of congress guilty of similar corruption will want the proceedings to fail.

Mother Nature provided a rainless window for the floating book shop to get in a full session, on a day the forecast predicted a washout. My thanks, and to the two ladies who combined to buy six hardcovers in Russian; and to the one who bought Malice by Danielle Steel; and to the one who purchased Against the Wind by J. D. Freeman; and to Jolene, who took home two crossword puzzle booklets.
