Innuendo & Facts

Mueller dishes innuendo, no charges. What was the purpose of the news conference other than to slander President Trump? Unfortunately, Mueller’s too smart to testify before Congress. He’d do it if only Democrats were to ask the questions. He needs a taste of his own medicine.

In an op-ed piece in today’s NY Post, Rich Lowry comes to the defense of the crime bill of the ‘90’s, despite its flaws, that was signed into law by Bill Clinton, and for which Joe Biden voted. It has come under attack lately by CNN, liberal politicians and even President Trump as having been unfair to blacks. Lowry uses crystalline logic as to why government needed to act. From 1960-’90 violent crime in the USA increased a staggering 350%. From 1970-’95 650,000 Americans were murdered, Civil War level carnage. Kudos, sir. I do not like giving credit to Slick Willie and Gropey Joe, but supporting that crime bill was right.

Two teenagers who hope to be pro athletes caught my attention at Yahoo Sports. If a catchy name makes any difference, top NHL prospect Kaapo Kakko of Finland is a can’t miss… And kudos to R.J. Hampton of Texas, who will forgo the farce of the one and done college game to play professionally in New Zealand.

A couple of weeks ago I joined nextdoor.com, which allows users to target a specific neighborhood. I posted about the floating book shop, and it led to a sale of A Hitch in Twilight. A gentleman I see walking his bulldog most mornings either at the start or end of my morning walk noticed my ad and stopped by to pick up a copy on Memorial Day. My thanks.

My constant benefactress showed with a number of popular DVD’s and a couple of niche books. The only bad thing about it was that I was humming the theme to The Good, the Bad and the Ugly the rest of the session. My thanks, and also to the kind folks who bought wares. Here’s what sold: Esquire Etiquette: The Modern Man’s Guide to Good Form by Glen Waggoner and Kathlenn Moloney, Dogbert’s Top Secret Management Handbook by Scott Adams, Brain Busters by crossword master Will Shortz, a Star Trek paperback novel, two Harry Potters, the aforementioned Sergio Leone spaghetti western classic, CD collections by Sheryl Crow and Bruce Springsteen, six books in Russian, two donated by Marina, who insisted on paying for the two she took home. The ATM must be wondering where I’ve been lately.
