I don’t know if scientists will develop a vaccine for Corona, but advances in other areas continue to astonish. According to an article at nypost.com, “paralysis may be reversed using a system that combines a brain implant with signal-reading software to restore motion and, incredibly, the sense of touch.”

Has there been a bigger misstep in the Corona struggle than Governor Cuomo’s allowing his Department of Health to force sick patients back into nursing homes? I know he had no idea of the consequences, but it’s not something anyone would want on his/her conscience. Expect a lawsuit… For the first time in seven weeks Vermont has no new Corona cases to report.

A School Board in Alaska voted 5–2 to ban the following books, Invisible Man by Ralph Ellison; Catch-22 by Joseph Heller; The Things They Carried by Tim O’Brien (Vietnam); I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings by Maya Angelou; and The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald. Don’t the members realize TV shows and movies go at least as far as anyone of those novels, and many probably much farther? Fortunately those novels are available at libraries and book stores. I understand the desire to shield children from life’s horrors, but it is futile in this case. They are on display 24/7, 365 on TV and the web.

Here’s an interesting tidbit from a young woman, Shelby Church, who wrote an article for this site. She’s been posting videos at youtube since 2009 and several have attracted more than a million hits. Two of her topics are: How To Pose in Photos and The Top 10 Features of the Tesla Model 3. She says she’s earned an average of $2000-$5000 per video. The site attaches a couple of ads to each and claims 45% of the revenue. I love the novel ways some people find to earn money. Kudos.

Here’s a telling headline from foxnews.com: “Biden coverage by NY Times, others — suddenly #MeToo news not fit to print.” Is anyone surprised?

Life never ceases to fascinate. The other day when I posted about the Rolling Stones new number one single, Living in a Ghost Town, an old friend responded. It jogged my memory. I recalled her returning from lunch singing Beast of Burden from the Some Girls albums. This was way back in the late ‘70’s. And today it occurred to me to use that beautiful recollection in the novella I’m writing, adding it to a scene where the co-protagonist conjures fond memories as he’s losing consciousness. Thank you, my dear.
