How ‘bout this guy? WWII Marine veteran Sam Baker, 99, has just published his second children's book. His first came at 95. He is an inspiration to all. Kudos, sir.

The war in Ukraine is proving to be a lot more than the waltz in the park Putin expected. Headline from nypost.com: “Russian ship that fired on ‘go f–k yourself’ Ukrainians destroyed in battle: report.” Also, two generals have been killed in combat. And now this headline from newsmax.com: “2,000 to 4,000 Russian Troops Killed So Far in Ukraine War, US Estimates.” Trouble is, the conflict will likely continue as long as Vlad is in charge.

Headline from foxnews.com: “Ex-CNN chief Jeff Zucker to receive roughly $10 million from WarnerMedia, won’t sue: report.” The station’s ratings were abysmal under his guidance, as he turned it into a wing of the Democratic party. It must be nice to be rewarded for utter failure. Only in America.

RIP veteran actor/musician Conrad Janis, 94. There are 102 titles under his name at IMDb, his career spanning 1945–2012. Born in NYC, he did not attend high school, but that did not stop him. He was comfortable on the big or small screen and on Broadway. He will be remembered most for his turn in 70 episodes of Mork and Mindy. He directed two films: The Feminine Touch (1995) and Bad Blood (2012), the latter his final screen appearance. He was also a renowned trombonist and played in The Beverly Hills Unlisted Jazz Band, which included George Segal, and which made several appearances on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson. He is a dad of two and a grandfather. Well done, sir. Thank you.

The floating book shop was rained out today. I got plenty of rest and am chomping at the bit to get back selling stuff curbside.
