Here are two new terms culled from an article by Alex Mitchell and Juliet Norman at nypost.com: FODA — a fear of dating again during pandemic times, and FOMO — fear of missing out. At this stage of my life, the first is irrelevant. The second has been with me throughout adulthood.

I guess the influx of illegals takes precedence over Covid caution, just as Obama’s birthday party does over the carbon emissions of the private jets of the celebrities who will attend, just as Governor Cuomo expects a free pass on sexual harassment and his fatal nursing home decision. Was Cuomo always a monster, or is this what a lifetime in politics has done to him? Cuomo rhymes with FOMO, which he may be feeling right now. I doubt he’ll resign.
