Micro-artist Graham Short of Birmingham, England, 76, spent 40 hours over five days creating the image below. He did it for a display at his church. He took beta blockers to reduce his heart rate in order to be able to make the small, ultra-precise movements needed, and had a Botox-style injection around his eyes to stop the nerves and muscles from twitching while he toiled. He worked early in the morning and late at night to avoid the vibrations caused by traffic moving outside during the day. Photo from Google Images:

This morning on his show, talk radio host Mark Simone made the best comment I’ve yet to hear on the pronouns’ nonsense. He wondered how a victim of crime would describe the perpetrator to police. “They” might not cut it. Kudos, sir.

Will there be a more amusing headline in today’s news than this from nypost.com: “Non-binary Biden nuke official charged with stealing woman’s $2.3K luggage at airport.” A bureaucrat stealing? I’m shocked — shocked!”

RIP actor Clarence Gilyard, Jr., 66, cause of death not yet revealed. Born in the state of Washington, raised in Hawaii, his career began in 1981 and will continue with two posthumous works. His biggest success came on TV. He was in 20 episodes of CHiPs, 85 of Matlock and 196 of Walker, Texas Ranger. On the big screen he appeared in Top Gun (1986) and Die Hard (1988). In 2003 he earned a Master’s from SMU. In 2006 he became an associate professor of theater at UNLV. Married twice, he is a father of five. Well done, sir. Photo from GI:

No sunshine, so I spent most of today’s session of the floating book shop in the car. My thanks to the kind folks who donated, swapped and bought books. Here’s what sold: The Nanny Diaries by Emma McLaughlin and Nicola Kraus, The Testament by Elie Wiesel; Buttons, a kids’ book I was unable to find any info on; and a paperback in Russian.
