USA at the crossroads, headline from nypost.com: “Nearly half of Americans think members of opposing political party are ‘evil’: poll.” Outside of hardcore socialists, I think Dems are simply misguided. Even if Socialism prevails, things will most likely be only messier than necessary, unfair to the hardest-workers and risk-takers, and expensive but something to which most folks will adjust, however grudgingly.

The gene pool often produces remarkable results. From NYP out of “Manchester England-England across the Atlantic sea” (Ragni, Rado, McDermott): “Identical twin brothers speak 26 languages each — including one they invented as toddlers.” “And I’m (we’re) a genius-genius…”

Interesting news out of Texas, headline from foxnews.com: “‘Shut it down’: Red state makes massive land buy to ramp up border wall efforts amid migrant surge.” It may too late.

I’ve seen several military-like Teslas cruising by lately. I find them ugly, maybe because I’m not used to them. This one doesn’t seem as long as the ones I’ve spotted. Photo from Google Images:

Comedian Tony Hinchcliffe told an asinine joke at the Trump rally: “There’s a lot going on. I don’t know if you know this but there’s literally a floating island of garbage in the middle of the ocean right now. I think it’s called Puerto Rico.” Since they are unable to argue policy, Dems have seized on it in their ongoing efforts to paint DT as a racist and fascist. Will it affect the Latino vote, in which he has made significant inroads? We’ll soon know. Interesting side bar: more than 300,000 Puerto Ricans have migrated to the mainland U.S. following 2017’s Hurricane Maria. They have settled in the south rather than NYC.

Another awesome day in terms of weather, hardly a breeze, but it still didn’t lead to a decent return for the Anti-Inflation Book Shop. My thanks to the gentleman who bought Miss Peregrine’s Peculiar Children Boxed Set: 3 Novels by Ransom Riggs, and to Lynn, who donated four more Christmas novels, which will be put aside until after Thanksgiving.
