Let’s start with good news: “Back at home: Calif. boy, 4, who disappeared from campground found safe after 22 hours alone in wilderness.”

Actor Jared Leto channels Ozzy Osbourne, Paris Fashion Week, AFP Via Getty Images, posted at standard.co.uk:

Another new term: Greenlash — backlash against green policies. I’m in.

Headline from foxnews.com: “Obama, Trump WH physician asks Biden to take drug test before CNN Presidential Debate.” Full disclosure not allowed.

FN headline regarding whether DT ever praised neo-Nazis at a Charlottesville protest as ‘very fine people’: “Snopes finally admits media, Democrats were wrong about Trump.” Seven years later. Then again, anyone who believed it was not paying attention or simply suffering TDS. Snopes has earned a nomination for this year’s prestigious Emily Litella Award, named after the distinguished SNL journalist. Photo from Google Images:

From FN: “CNN host shuts down interview after Trump campaign spox calls out moderators.” The Snowflake Network. I believe “spox” is short for spokesperson.

Does the posting of the Ten Commandments in schools do any harm? Aren’t they in every Catholic school and, I imagine, Jewish schools and many Protestant. Yes, the first four require a belief in God that some students and parents may not share, but is it coercion to simply have them posted? Many will walk past them without acknowledgment, creating their own on the spot separation of church and state. The last six of the commandments are a good guide for living for atheists as well as believers. I do not believe God, if He/She even exists, intercedes in human activity. I believe prayers fall on deaf ears, but I do not object to them because they provide comfort to many.

Bummer. I spotted an intriguing headline about “lost” films, as in those never released. A Google search ended in frustration, leading to articles and lists that include uncompleted or never-started fare. I may try again in the future.

The stiff wind was both a hindrance and a blessing at today’s session of the Anti-Inflation Book Shop, great relief from the weekend heat. My thanks to Gordie and my Constant Benefactress, who delivered three books each, and to the young man who bought Ocean’s Eleven (2001) and Swat Team (2003) on DVD, and to the gentleman who purchased Tripwire by Lee Child; and to Herbie, who couldn’t resist Robert B. Parker’s Fool’s Paradise by Mike Lupica.
