I’m not religious, but I don’t look down on anyone who is — other than violent extremists. The Last Supper controversy is not surprising. The envelope keeps being pushed further and further. Still, it’s encouraging to see the blowback. I do not regret having stopped watching sports, given the woke nonsense that comes with it. Photo from Google Images:
Another new term. From a nypost.com article by Eric Spitznagel: “… inflammaging, a “mash of inflammation and aging,”… Study of it is in the early stages.
More fodder for those who believe WWIII has begun or is imminent. Headline from newsmax.com: “Turkey’s Erdogan Threatens to Invade Israel.”
From NM: “Michigan’s Arab Americans Seek ‘Change’ With Trump.” I’ll believe it when I see it in the election’s results, as with Blacks and Jews. Then again, Blacks are probably back in the fold now that Harris is the Dem nominee.
Not only must DT defeat the Dems, mainstream media, academia, Hollywood, corporate boardrooms and mail-in voting, now there’s this. Headline from foxnews.com: “US intel officials say Iran trying to sabotage Trump’s presidential campaign.” Through the web, of course.
RIP Irish literary icon Edna O’Brien, 93. She rebelled against her strict Catholic upbringing. At first she worked as a pharmacist in Dublin. In London she was a reader for a publishing house. Her reports were so impressive she was commissioned to write a novel. Her early works were banned and burned in Ireland. She was undeterred. Her Wiki profile lists scores of novels, story collections, plays, kids’ books, non-fiction, a screenplay and a volume of poetry. She received numerous awards. Married once for a decade, she was a mom of two. I stowed away one of her books, thinking it was journalism, turned off by the cover photo where she’s taking a drag on a cigarette. It’s her memoir, Country Girl. Many writers of note praise her work, so I’ll give it a crack. Well done, Madam. Photo from GI:
