Notes from the Bizarro World

Chip off the old block. Close call for Steve Irwin’s son Robert:

Interesting headline from foxnews.com: “Liberals’ beloved policy shields illegal immigrant charged in swastika vandalism from 5th deportation.” I guess bigotry is sometimes okay. Wait — what am I talking about? Of course it is when directed at conservatives.

This can’t be true despite the fact that it has to do with government. From an FN article by Sam Dorman: “The Health and Human Services (HHS) Department is rolling out a $30 million grant program that will fund the distribution of items, like crack pipes, for smoking illicit substances…” Why not make fentanyl “free” too? Taxpayers will be happy to pick up the tab.

Political hack Stacey Abrams, who almost won the race for governor of Georgia, has been photographed in large groups where she is the only one not wearing a mask, then has the audacity to play the race card when called on it. She expects everyone else to adhere to the mandate. The egomaniac should wear a clown mask.

Why not include the Joe Rogan video compilation in the Super Bowl halftime show? Sounds like it would be a perfect fit. And throw in Whoopi Goldberg’s comments too. How ‘bout a collection of celebrity apologies?

My thanks to the two women who donated books on this gorgeous day, and to The Quiet Man, who bought Lasher by Anne Rice and A Horse and His Boy by C S Lewis; and to the gentleman who purchased Elizabeth & Margaret: The Intimate World of the Windsor Sisters by Andrew Morton; and to the woman who selected a cook book; and to the guy who chose a hardcover in Russian… Mike, a retired city worker in his ‘80’s, provided the laugh of the day. He visits Atlantic City casinos most weekends and claims to do quite well. He got busted putting cookies from a buffet into his pockets. He’s not deterred, as there are other hotels he can patronize.
