Given all the problems facing NYC, what is Mayor Adams doing in Puerto Rico? What possible use could he be to the island?

Once a person retires, he/she needs something to do to fill time. A 71-one-year male spends several hours each day trolling, scolding speeding, red light-blowing cyclists through a bullhorn at a deadly Central Park intersection. Photo from Google Images:

Maybe this explains the violence plaguing The Windy City, headline from newsmax.com: “‘Shocking’ Levels of Lead Found in Chicago Tap Water.”

Excerpt from an article by Houston Keene at foxnews.com about California representative Katie Porter: “The congresswoman — a former law professor who was paid more than $285,000 one year during her time at the University of California, Irvine — made headlines when it was revealed she earned thousands of dollars in royalty fees from law school textbooks that she required her own students to purchase for the courses she taught.” Maybe I should apply for a job teaching college English courses and assign my books to the students.

Excerpt from an FN article by Angelica Stabile about a young Tennessee man: “Twenty-one-year-old Ashton Gilbert, who has autism, started his own cardboard recycling business, UnBoxed, amid the coronavirus pandemic.” Kudos, sir. Photo from GI:

An FN article by Cortney Moore explains a term I heard today for the first time: “Overemployment.” It is the juggling of two full-time jobs, one web-based. Overemployed.com has almost 93,000 members. The choice stems from the desire to reach financial freedom. It’s nice to see good old fashion American work ethic still exists.

Remember National Security Agency leaker Edward Snowden, who fled to Russia in 2013? FN headline: “Russian citizenship means Snowden ‘may well be conscripted’ to fight in Ukraine: State Dept.” I doubt Vlad wouldn’t allow it, as it would make too many Americans happy.

From FN: “US media compares Italy’s first female prime minister to Mussolini.” Georgia Meloni’s sin is conservativism, which is extremism in the eyes of the left.

From FN: “Oregon liquor store thefts up 450% in recent years as store owners ‘shout from the rooftops’ for help.” It will be interesting to see if the abortion issue draws more votes than crime and inflation.

My thanks to the gentleman who donated a shopping cart full of books, 90% in Russian; and to Wolf, who bought my Five Cents and three Russian DVDs; and to the woman who purchased Fairy Tale Interrupted: A Memoir of Life, Love, and Loss by RoseMarie Terenzio, personal friend of JFK Jr.; and to Vito, who selected a pocket Webster’s Dictionary and Your Playlist Can Change Your Life: 10 Proven Ways Your Favorite Music Can Revolutionize Your Health, Memory, Organization, Alertness and More by Galina Mindlin, Don DuRousseau, et al.; and to the gentleman who chose a dictionary, thesaurus and a book on Russian grammar. It took me about an hour to get everything organized and into the old Hyundai. I am blessed.
