In an article at foxnews.com, Kim Kommando offers an intriguing code kids might send a guardian in case of trouble — an emoji. Here is a list of ten posted within the article:
From yesterday, an advanced warning. Headline from nypost.com: “Bride busted having a ‘quickie’ with groom’s uncle 30 minutes before wedding ceremony: ‘Things exploded’.” Marry the uncle, lady. It seems you’re made for each other.
It’s National Fart Day — fire away! Here’s a joke from scarymommy.com: “Farts are like children. You don’t mind your own, but you can’t stand other people’s.” As we useta say in elementary school: “First one smelt it, dealt it.” Photo from GI:
From NYP: “Nose picking likely ‘partially’ to blame for Alzheimer’s disease: scientists.” Here’s a joke from jokojokes.com: “There are 2 kinds of people in the world: (1) People that pick their nose. (2) Liars.” So there. No photo for this one.
From NYP: “59% of women share this sexual fantasy — but what does it really mean?” Lesbian encounter. 99% of males share this one: threesome.
RIP NBA stalwart Earl “The Twirl” Cureton, 66, who died suddenly, cause of death not yet known. After a successful freshman season at Robert Morris in Jersey, he returned home to Detroit Mercy, where he excelled. He was inducted into its Hall of Fame and the school retired his #24. He was selected in the third round of the 1979 draft by 76ers, the 58th pick overall. He played for seven different teams, career spanning 1980-’97, averaging 5.4 PPG and 4.7 RPG. He was a member of the ‘82-’83 76ers and ‘93-’94 Rockets championship teams. He also played in Europe and South America. Post-playing-days, he coached women’s basketball, worked in the Pistons’ front office and served as a color analyst for his alma mater. He finished his degree in 2011. Gone too soon. Well done, Sir. It’s been three weeks since Dr. Baradarian banded my hemorrhoids. Still no blood, praise be. Thank you, Sir.
The cold wind returned but the temperature was just high enough to keep me out of the car at today’s session of the Anti-Inflation Book Shop. My thanks to the kind folks who donated and bought. As usual, the incoming was greater than the outgoing. Here’s what sold: three books and five DVDs in Russian, Enemy at the Gates by Kyle Mills, picking up where the late Vince Flynn left off; The First Jewish Catalog: A Do-It-Yourself Kit by Richard Siegel, Michael Strassfeld, et al.; Heroes of the Revolution by David A. Adler and Donald A. Smith, a pictorial geared to kids.
