Pics & More

Among today’s celebrations, it’s World Logic Day. That’s irony.
Here are two cool examples from Hidden Gems: 12 Small Details and Clever Easter Eggs In Films by EBW Curation Editor at msm.com. In Batman (1989), the Joker, played by Jack Nicholson, looks at a painting. The same painting later appears as part of the room decor in Joker (2019), starring Joaquin Phoenix.
In Batman Returns (1992), the shadow of Selina’s glasses cast the mask of Catwoman, played by Michelle Pfeiffer, on her face.
Sometimes the human race… Headline from foxnews.com: “Los Angeles burglary suspect disguised as firefighter, as looting arrests reach about 29 people: sheriff.” SMH.
I’m taking a crack at doing a piece on porn star Sara Jay by changing her name and place of origin. She will be Lola Gee. I’m not sure how it will fly. It might come off as completely phony, in which case I’ll abandon it. I’ll ask blogger Sam Friedman to take a look at it. I respect his opinion. He’s already reviewed the By the Numbers collection the piece would be added to. I’ve always hated the “creative non-fiction” genre. I don’t know how else I would characterize this. It won’t be the first time I’ve been a hypocrite but hopefully the last. This was how I filled time on a day when I chose to forgo the Anti-Inflation Book Shop because of the icy wind. Unfortunately, the only sheltered alternative spot has been usurped by the MTA, which is installing a much-needed elevator at the Sheepshead Bay train station.
