Picture Perfect Day
And the persistence of imperfection.
This doesn’t sound good. Headline out of Scotland at nypost.com: “Amazon warehouse destroys 130,000 unsold items per week.” There has to be a better solution. How about warehouse sales?
Wow headline from newsmax.com: “153 Quit or Fired Over Houston Hospital’s Vaccine Mandate.” I think I side with management, as I believe a business should be run as its leaders see fit.
Here’s an interesting headline from foxnews.com: “Liberal ‘The View’ co-host Sunny Hostin says her friends and family are buying guns to combat White supremacy.” The civil war occurring in America at present has remained mostly vocal outside violent demonstrations, rioting. Will it evolve into a broad shooting war? Or is the statement just another attempt to distract from the alarming amount of violence perpetrated by blacks, almost exclusively against blacks?
Here’s an FN headline that offers only momentary relief to the right: “Progressives turn on Biden, renew calls to kill filibuster as election overhaul fails.” A loss after a string of victories since Quid Pro Joe took office. Besides, the left has cornered the market when it comes to voter fraud. What’s the difference if it’s federally sanctioned or not? If the current audits in those states that turned overnight in November go nowhere, which is likely, the point will be moot.
From an article at FN by Louis Casiano, in my own words: The Secret Service has released its list of the ten Most Wanted Fugitives. Only one is American, one Costa Rican and the rest either Russian or Ukrainian. They are accused of participating in various financial and fraud schemes.
The most recent Supreme Court rulings offer half a loaf to those who wish to pack it. There was an 8–1 ruling on a case involving free speech, and a 6–3 along partisan lines in one involving unions.
DVD sales again led the way at the floating book shop on this picture perfect day. My thanks to the two gentlemen who combined to buy nine, and to Ira, who purchased a pictorial on goblins; and to the man who selected a mystery by M.C. Beaton; and to the woman who took advantage of the five for a buck deal of Harlequin romances in Russian; and to the couple who donated a book in the that language. It’s odd to see them without their dog, who recently was put to sleep.
