Picture Perfect Day
Not much caught my eye in today’s news. Here’s an amusing headline from foxnews.com: “Burger King debuts ‘social distancing Whopper’ with extra onions: ‘Helps others stay away.’”… I’ve noticed that the color in the hair of older redhead acquaintances is fading. They must be dying for the salons to reopen.
The vultures returned to NYC this week. Today, in the first hundred yards on East 13th at Avenue Z, six cars were ticketed for alternate side violation. A gentleman told me many other vehicles along that side suffered a similar fate. Fortunately I’d heard about the regulation’s return from a radio traffic report.
To my surprise. the Brainiac Brothers’ home attendant dropped off these books, which I spread on the trunk of my old Hyundai:

After more than two weeks, my mind-saver finally arrived in the mail. There are 50 puzzles. I’ll do one a day and hope I’ll be able to sell books curbside before I finish it. It will fill an hour with something other than reading or web surfing:
Although I liked the original color scheme I chose for my novella in progress, it occurred to me that it should be in maroon and white, since it’s about Lafayette High School grads. I was pleased I was able to change it. It’s not exactly maroon, but as close as the tab allowed:
