Headline from nypost.com: “US Border Patrol and Mexican cartel members trade gunfire at southern border: report.” Will there be a war with the slimes of Narcoland? Would it make things better or worse, as in encouraging acts of terror? I wouldn’t want to have to make that decision.

Government in a nutshell. From NYP: “Taking its toll: NYers fume over revelation MTA lost $5.1B on unpaid tolls, violations as honest drivers slapped with congestion pricing.”

TDS continues. From NYP: “ABC, CBS, NBC spent 46 minutes covering Trump Jan. 6 pardons, less than 4 minutes on Biden pardons.” Anyone surprised?… And this headline from foxnews.com: “NY Mag cover accused of cropping out Black attendees of Trump inauguration event.” New York Magazine. Maybe Rev Al will call for a boycott — yeah, and the mainstream media will cease its bias!

From FN: “Trump admin halts funding for ‘condoms in Gaza’ after Hamas used them for bombs.” Scumbags, as is said in Brooklyn.

Among today’s many celebrations, it’s Pop Art Day. Here’s a poster titled I Don’t Give a Damn by Osnat Tzadok. Photo from Google Images:

The temperature wasn’t bad but the cold wind made things tough at today’s session of the Anti-Inflation Book Shop. I packed up a half-hour early. My thanks to the woman who donated a bunch of Russian books, and to the one who bought two pieces of costume jewelry; and to the guy who purchased Home Improvement 1–2–3: Expert Advice from the Home Depot by Benjamin W. Allen and a package of adult diapers; and to Steve, the poet laureate of Sheepshead Bay, who took home another audio book, Defending Jacob by William Landay.
