Quotes & Stuff
I hate to start with politics, but yesterday there were two great quotes from that woeful arena. From foxnews.com by Mike Huckabee regarding the current impeachment push: “Jerry Nadler is fishing in the Dead Sea.” Corey Lewandoski was one of President Trump’s campaign managers. He had already testified before Congress three times and before Special Council Robert Mueller. He was feisty during yesterday’s farce and at one point said: “I will be as sincere in my answers as this committee is in its questions.” Kudos to both men.
It’s a dirty job but someone has to do it — from nypost.com: “A fire at a cattle-breeding facility caused 100 canisters full of sperm to explode, blanketing the lab and forcing firefighters to dodge ‘projectiles’ filled with valuable cattle semen.” Each are worth between $342 and $685, and used for artificial insemination. None of it was “milked” by this man:

Great moment at Fenway Park last night, as Yaz’s grandson, Mike Yastrzemski, homered for the San Francisco Giants:
Sad moment in NY football Giants’ history: Barring injury or a complete flop by Daniel Jones, Eli Manning has started his last game for Big Blue. If so, thank you, sir. The highest level of sports, both college and pro, are cold businesses. It seems like the right move. Time will tell. Throughout his career, Manning’s behavior has been exemplary, refreshing in this age of showboating.
My thanks to the gentleman who bought Fifty Shades of Chicken: A Parody in a Cookbook by F.L. Fowler, two other works of non-fiction and a book in Russian for his wife; and to Ira, who purchased a pictorial on theater, and How to Deal with Annoying People: What to Do When You Can’t Avoid Them by Bob Phillips & Kimberly Alyn; and to Romania born artist Andu, who did a three-for-one swap of paperbacks. His stay at a mental hospital was short this time. He seemed okay today. May this be the beginning of healing for him.
