Recovery

The conflict continues, headline from newsmax.com: “Poll: 65% Against Companies Firing Employees for Refusing COVID Vax.” It was conducted by the Trafalgar Group, which I’d never heard of. Don’t be surprised if a different entity soon finds that 65% support firings. Such is the topsy-turvy nature of the Covid Era.

Sad headline from foxnews.com: “Missouri hospital to supply panic buttons in response to increased violence against employees.” Again I ask if America is going mad.

The stock market has had its worst month since 2011. Is it a trend or a recoil that will spring to more all-time highs? For years it seems to have been acting independently, shrugging off bad news easily. Former New York Post business writer John Crudele, who seems to have retired, said there was a secret Plunge Protection Team ready to buy stocks to prevent panic selling. I’ve suspected the upward trajectory was/is driven by money from new independent traders entering the market each year. Then again, what do I know? I went against my instincts when Bitcoin went public, did not buy it, and that error seems to have sent me to the sidelines permanently in terms of buying stocks. I have sold a few of my dogs since then, and two winners, mutual fund firms who kept contacting me to give them a call about an important matter.
