Redmen Forever
This is great news, headline from foxnews.com: “Pro-Native American activists fighting to save indigenous traditions in nationwide war against wokeness.” According to the article by Kerry J. Byrne, “Navajo Julia Casuse graduated from Cedar City High School in Utah. She calls herself “a Redmen through and through.” The local school board canceled the school nickname and its Native American imagery in 2019, despite widespread popular support for the name and tradition.” The nickname is now REDS! Are you kidding me? Did Marxists come up with that? At Lafayette H.S. in Brooklyn my teammates and I were proud to be called Redmen, who we believed were brave and resourceful. Headline from nypost.com: “New dialect known as ‘Miami English’ appearing in Florida, linguists say — here’s what it sounds like.” From the article by David Landsel, examples: “Thanks God” — the “s” is borrowed from “gracias a Dios.” “We got down from the car.” — a literal translation of “bajar del carro.” “Marco and I went to a bar and he invited me a beer.” I love the natural evolution of language, but not the forced abominations of political correctness.
From NYP: “Migrants believed to have fled NYC after NYPD cop-beating can’t be arrested because they were freed without bail.” Way to go, DA Bragg and company. SMH.
From NYP out of Brussels: “Collection of 22 ‘highly rare’ luxury cars, including Porsches and Ferraris, found in old warehouse.” According to the article by Patrick Reilly, all were beneath covers, are in excellent condition, and are no longer manufactured. Enthusiasts are drooling. Used Testarossas have sold online for as much as $180,000, Porsche 911s for $250,000. A Ferrari 365 GT4 BB went for $276,000 at a Sotheby’s auction. The piece cites that the owner of the warehouse “found” them. Did he forget them or did someone else put them there? I wish there was a better picture. From GI:

After a long absence, sunshine returned today, but it was accompanied by an icy wind, perhaps the biggest deterrent to curbside sales. I stayed in the car just about the entire session of the newly-dubbed Anti-Inflation Book Shop. My thanks to my Constant Benefactress, who donated four highly marketable books, and to the gentleman who bought a manual on Reversing Diabetes and Heart Survivor: Recovery After Heart Surgery by Eric L Douglas.
