Will wonders ever cease? This three-bedroom 18th-century Manhattan home is in the Grammercy Park neighborhood and available for $7 million, perfect for an affluent couple. The interior is awesome, completely modern. Photo from Google Images:

100 days until the election. Despite DT’s lead in the polls, I expect mail-in voting to again win the presidency for Dems, not to mention the backing of the mainstream media, academia and corporate boardrooms, the latter of which is surprising — at least to me. Hope I’m wrong.

I hadn’t seen Romania-Born artist Andu in months. I immediately knew he was off his meds when he held our hug for long time. He began rambling, occasionally blubbering. “I’m not crazy!” he said several times. As usual, I let him vent, not knowing what to say or do. He repeated stuff from past conversations: he is being recruited by Navy Seals despite being bi-polar; he conferred with Brad Pitt; he sees through all the bull. He picked out a bunch of books. I didn’t want any money but he insisted on paying. I feel guilty for taking the cash, although I was happy to be rid of such weight. Sadly, in this state he is unable to sit still and read, so the books will be stacked with all the others he’s ever bought from me. I’d always hoped the books on art would inspire him. They did in part, but he now seems to have abandoned his gift. While on meds his mind is dulled but at least he’s calm, providing relief for his poor mom, who has a bad back and cataracts. He was calmer on his return from the store and apologized for scaring me. Life is so unfair to certain people.

Scottish comedian, bread-lover Fern Brady, who is borderline autistic — if I understood it correctly. Photo by Alex Lake/The Observer, posted at theguardian.com:

My thanks to Andu and the other kind folks who bought stuff at today’s session of the Anti-Inflation Book Shop, and to Cabbie who did a swap of paperback thrillers, and to the woman who donated two hardcovers by Lisa Scottoline. Here’s what else sold: DVDs of O Brother Where Art Thou? (2000) and Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen (2004), CDs by Lee Greenwood and Lee Rittenour; three pictorials on dogs; three books in Russian. Special thanks to Sam, who downloaded By the Numbers by yours truly, its first sale.
