RIP Sharon Farrell, 82. Born in Sioux City, she studied ballet as a teen before turning to acting. Her career spanned 1959–2014, largely in TV. There are 101 titles under her name at IMDb, a figure that only partly reveals her story. She made multiple guest shots on many popular prime time shows, and appeared in 13 of Saints and Sinners, 13 of the original Hawaii Five-O, and 81 of The Young and the Restless. Her most famous big screen role was as the mother in It’s Alive (1974). She also appeared in The Reivers (1969), The Stunt Man (1980), Out of the Blue (1980), Lone Wolf McQuade (1983), Night of the Comet (1984), Can’t Buy Me Love (1987). Married six times, she was a mom of one. Photo from Google Images:

From the column of NY Post sports media critic Phil Mushnick: “As long as Nike remains eager to demonstrate its social virtue-signaling via the likes of Colin Kaepernick and Megan Rapinoe — even at the expense of sweatshop labor from Communist China — Nike has the money and space to house thousands of migrants. Nike’s complex in Oregon reportedly includes more than 75 buildings over 266 acres.” Kudos once again, Sir.

Headline from foxnews.com: “Museum scrubs JK Rowling from ‘Harry Potter’ display: She who must not be named?” And another headline on the ridiculousness of pseudo-intellectuals: “Academics claim Aldean’s ‘Try That in a Small Town’ contains ‘coded language’ to ‘appeal to Trump Country’.” The easiest cracked code in history! If they’re so smart, why did it take so long to figure out the obvious?

Not much action at the floating book shop on this gorgeous day. My thanks to my Constant Benefactress, who bought Deception on His Mind by Elizabeth George, and to the woman who purchased two DVDs: Gangster Squad (2013) and Cruel Intentions (1999).
