Short Takes

Hard to argue with the logic of this nypost.com headline: “If vax passports are OK, then so is requiring voter ID.” Article by Matthew Walther. Kudos.

And what would the day be without a Covid oddity, headline from NYP: “Nurse creates chandelier from used Moderna vaccine vials.”

I doubt any other story today will tickle my fancy as much as this one, NYP headline, article by Hannah Frishberg, edited by yours truly: “Bishop quits church after falling in love with satanic erotica writer.” Silvia Caballol of Spain, 38, is a divorced psychologist whose titles include The Hell of Gabriel’s Lust and Amnesia, a trilogy. Male chauvinist pig that I am, I had to know what she looks like. She certainly doesn’t look like a femme fatale, at least not in this pic:

I don’t know about you, but I sure am enjoying the unity Quid Pro Joe has brought to America.

In July Biden celebrated independence from Covid. Today he is announcing a six-point plan to fight it.

The Secretary of Defense is disappointed that the Taliban is not forming an inclusive government. Although that sounds like fiction, it’s not.

There aren’t many positives to aging, but the current social climate has fostered one. The elderly can remain aloof, without consequences, from all the woke nonsense.

Snippet from an article by Samuel Dorman at foxbusiness.com: “Google has reportedly rolled out an ‘anti-racism’ initiative, which suggests, among other things, that using evidence in an argument shows White privilege.” In other words, play dumb.

Good news in an FN headline: “Armed robber shot in face by armed victim in Texas just days after permitless carry begins.” He’s going to live. Hopefully other creeps will be deterred.

Let’s hope the following will not turn into more than a joke:

Headline from FN: “California-born Afghan-American says voters ‘expected a lot more from’ VP Harris.” I doubt that’s true even of Dems.

The floating book shop was rained out, resulting in a long day. Looking forward to tomorrow’s session — then again, I do always.
