GDP surged 33.1% on an annualized basis in the three-month period from July through September. Although the recession is not history, it’s encouraging. The previous record for quarterly growth had been 16.7% in 1950. It will be interesting to see how Trump’s detractors spin this. If he wins re-election, expect calls from the left for another lockdown.
In the wake of a second beheading and other murders in the past week or so, it’s good to hear France’s President Macron call it exactly what it is: “Islamist terrorist attack.”
Maybe the water should be tested in L.A.. Following the looting and vandalism that occurred after the Lakers’ championship, this headline from nypost.com: “Rowdy Dodgers fans loot massive tractor-trailer after World Series win.”
Here’s a sad headline from foxnews.com: “Girl Scouts delete social media post congratulating Amy Coney Barrett on Supreme Court appointment.” I bet she’d still buy cookies from them… And here’s another: “Philadelphia stores beg thieves to leave them alone after third night of looting.” Message to cops: Let the guy stab you.
Here’s an interesting headline from FN inspired by an editorial in the Spokesman-Review of Spokane: “Trump deserves 2nd term even though he’s a ‘wretched human being.’” And Biden isn’t? And Kamala Harris? And so many others in politics?
Headline from Yahoo Sports: “2020 World Series was least-watched Fall Classic ever.” I wish I could say the piss poor ratings of the Big Four sports is due mainly to their kowtowing to BLM, but there’s no way of knowing… Also from YS, a headline that put a smile on my face: “Golf legend Jack Nicklaus tweets endorsement of President Donald Trump.” Thank you, Golden Bear.
I’m starting to believe it would be best for everyone except those with underlying conditions to contract Corona and see what happens. The perfect comeback to this thought would be: You first.
