Snake Speaks
Here’s a bit of sense from a foxnews.com headline: “Kurt Russell compares celebrities to ‘court jesters,’ says they shouldn’t voice political opinions.” Snake Plissken would likely agree. Kudos.
RIP Lynn Kellogg, 77, a member of the original Broadway cast of Hair, in which she soloed on Easy To Be Hard. Curiously, given her beauty and voice, she did not have a long career. She has only five screen credits at IMDb, Elvis’ vehicle Charro (1969) among them. Her only disc is the single of the aforementioned. I remember seeing her on The Tonight Show and saying she didn’t smoke because she worried it might damage her voice. Under the “Self” category at IMDb, Kellogg lists all the shows on which she performed, which include multiple appearances on Merv Griffin and Mike Douglas. She also co-hosted, with Hal Linden, Animals, Animals, Animals, billed as a “Documentary” and “Family,” which ran from ‘76-’81. I found no info on how many episodes were shot. It won an Emmy four consecutive years, including Outstanding Children’s Informational Series in 1978. It also won a Peabody Award. Kellogg did the opening theme and other songs. Well done, Madam.
I edited the cover of today’s NY Post, which lampoons two career politicians:
Which candidate for president has a history of siding with segregationists and still garnered 92% of the black vote, and which was lauded by Jesse Jackson as a friend to minorities and underserved communities and was also a recipient of the 2007 Muhammad Ali Entrepreneur Award? The race card is one of the biggest political weapons and it is often applied unfairly.
Okay — Rudy Giuliani has made accusations. Now the job is to prove them. Will he be allowed to make his case? Will he have enough time? Recall that the 2000 election was not decided for 37 days. We are now 15 days out. Have the Dems manipulated Dominion Software to distinct advantage? If the election result is overturned, will there be blood in the streets? If it’s not overturned, will there be violence from the right? Anyone who expected the election to unify the country must be very disappointed.
This book will launch on 11/24:
