Snow Day

It seems like the several inches that fell will be gone in a few days. It’s already melting rapidly. Photo from Google Images:

Can’t wait to see these NYFW outfits on the street this summer. Photo from nypost.com:

From NYP: “Bodybuilder eats four sticks of butter a day.” Sozzeach his own, as we said back in the day, but it seems like he’s courting disaster.

This NYP headline reminded me of how lame my investment moves — or non-moves — were: “Bitcoin tops $50,000 for the first time since 2021, signaling massive rebound.” It began as a penny stock and wasn’t worth a dollar until 2/’11. I believe it was trading at about $200 when I first passed on it. No risk, no reward is supposed to be one of my mantras.

They close their eyes and ears even to the words of one of their own. Headline from foxnews.com: “Jon Stewart back on ‘Daily Show’: Biden age jokes ignite firestorm among progressives.” I don’t get it. Quid Pro Joe seems the most likely candidate to lose to Trump. Run someone else and Dems can pretend it was the person, not the policies that failed, and many will fall for it.

I enjoy her work and pictures of her loveliness but don’t care about this: “Sharon Stone complains ‘it’s very expensive to be famous’.” Many would love to have that problem.

Those surprised that inflation is still rising must not be doing their own shopping.

Maybe Taylor Swift will sway the election toward the Dems. Headline from newsmax.com: “Super Bowl LVIII Most-Watched TV Show in US History.”

The Anti-Inflation Book Shop was snowed out. I received my recent book order from Amazon. For months two of my 14 were sold out. All will be on display next time, hopefully tomorrow. I shoveled out the spot for the display, not giving the snow a chance to freeze overnight. Accumulation was about three inches. It’s already melting briskly. I filled time constructively by proofing and adding to two of the six stories I’ve banked at Google Docs. The additions are instances from my life. One fits perfectly. I may have overloaded the other. Since I may never again have the opportunity to use it, it stays.
