It’s Trump vs. Republicans and Democrats, the entire swamp. I don’t believe he can pull it off, but he shouldn’t be underestimated. No doubt he will be accused by certain Republicans of killing the party. Does it deserve to exist if it simply goes along to get along? Is it possible that the mainstream media will be even more vitriolic, more anti-Trump? Yes.
What’s new in Narcoland? Headline from nypost.com: “Butchered bodies wash ashore at Mexican holiday hotspot — as tourists lounge nearby.” There’s nothing more romantic than that. Business as usual south of the border.
Most folks know what Forrest’s mom said. Here’s another example, headline from NYP: “OnlyFans star raked in $3M from site before killing boyfriend: prosecutors.” Unless she’s killed others and hadn’t been caught until now, it goes down as one of the all-time stupidest moves. She had the world on a string and cut it herself.
Laughable headline from newsmax.com: “Schumer Wants to Work With ‘Non-MAGA’ Republicans.” They’re RINOs and not in short supply, and they’ve been working with him all along, hence the trillion-dollar deficit/debt. Chuckles the Clown, virulently pro-abortion, is worried about the declining U.S. birth rate, down 20% since 2007. His solution? Grant a path to citizenship for eleven million illegal immigrants, those the mainstream media insist is a number exaggerated by bigots. Maybe we should be viewing Hip Hop star Nick Cannon, who’s expecting his twelfth child, as heroic. He has had kids with six different women, including twins with Mariah Carey when they were married. All the others, I believe, were conceived out of wedlock. Sozzeach...
Maybe it was something in the cool, crisp air, but the floating book shop enjoyed its best day in a long time. My thanks to the lovely elderly lady library volunteers, who donated ten more Dontsovas in Russian, and to Thirsty Dave, lead singer of country swing band Desert Caravan, who delivered five diverse titles, and especially to Lacoya, who bought A Hitch in Twilight and Present and Past, both by yours truly. Here’s what else sold: three hardcovers in Russian; a Cher collection and Hotel California on CD; Rage by Jonathan Kellerman; Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire by J.K. Rowling; Purple Cane Road and Rain Gods, both by James Lee Burke; and Career Match: Connecting Who You Are with What You’ll Love to Do by Shoya Zichy and Ann Bidou. I am blessed.
